With Love and Intention: Why I’m Sharing Less of My Littles Online

Over the years, I’ve shared sweet snapshots of my growing family—moments filled with love, laughter, and the beautiful chaos of motherhood. Watching my children grow alongside this community has been such a joy, and I’m so grateful for the connection we’ve built here.
But lately, I’ve been doing some deeper thinking—and research—about what it really means to share our children online.
Rethinking Consent in a Digital World
As I’ve leaned into documenting my life more publicly, one truth has become impossible to ignore: I can give consent for myself. I can even speak for my wife in certain contexts. But my children? They’re still too young to fully grasp what it means to have a public digital footprint.
I never really thought about it like that before.
The idea that a photo posted today could follow them for years to come hit me differently. And while I’ve always shared with love and good intentions, I now realize that true respect for their autonomy means thinking ahead—and protecting their privacy before they’re old enough to make those choices for themselves.
So, What Will You See Going Forward?

You’ll still get me—honest stories, heartfelt reflections, clean beauty tips, gluten-free bakes (disasters and all), and even the occasional puppy pic. You might still catch a cute back-of-the-head shot here and there, but my kids’ faces won’t be a regular part of my feed anymore.
I hope you understand this decision comes from a place of love and respect—for them, for their futures, and for the kind of intentional storytelling I want this space to represent.
Thanks for sticking around.
Love,
Shay
