A Journey Through Motherhood, Clean Beauty & Messy Wins

Why I Started This Blog

I created this blog because I needed a space to be real.

A space where I could show up as I am—unfiltered, imperfect, and evolving.

I wanted somewhere to talk openly about learning differently.

To share the joys and struggles of motherhood.

To explore clean beauty, gluten-free baking, and everything that lights me up in between.

Feeling Like I Didn’t Fit the Mold

For a long time, I didn’t feel like I belonged.

Not in the classroom.

Not always in parenting spaces.

Not even in the beauty industry, where I was supposed to feel at home.

As a child, I was told I had a learning disability.

That label shaped how I saw myself for years.

Eventually, I realized the issue wasn’t that I couldn’t learn—I just didn’t connect with the way I was being taught.

Instead of pushing myself to fit into molds that didn’t feel right, I started asking a different question:

What if I created something that fits me instead?

Learning to Take Up Space—As a Wife, Mama & Creator

Today, I’m a wife to an incredible woman.

Together, we’re raising a beautiful little humans with love, laughter, and a whole lot of grace.

Parenting as an LGBT family is its own kind of adventure.

There are moments of pride, moments of challenge, and many that fall somewhere in between.

I want to talk about those moments—the ones that aren’t always shared.

Whether it’s navigating school systems, answering curious questions from strangers, or simply holding space for our child’s growth, I’ve learned that visibility matters.

And so does vulnerability.

My Love for Clean Beauty & Canadian-Made Brands

Along the way, I fell in love with clean beauty.

Not just the products—but the purpose behind them.

There’s something special about choosing skincare and makeup that’s safe, ethical, and made with intention.

Even better? Supporting Canadian-made brands that prioritize transparency and sustainability.

You’ll find honest reviews here—what I love, what I use, and what I’d skip.

Let’s Talk Baking, Mistakes & Messy Wins

When I’m not testing new beauty products or chasing after my kids, you’ll find me baking.

Always gluten-free. Often experimental. Occasionally a total disaster.

But that’s the point—this blog isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about learning as we go.

Making mistakes. Laughing at the flops. Celebrating the small wins.

What’s In It for You

If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t quite fit in—this space is for you.

If you’re a mama, a clean beauty lover, gluten-free, neurodivergent, queer, or just figuring things out one imperfect step at a time—you belong here.

You’ll find honest reflections, helpful tips, product recs, stories from our everyday life, and probably a few too many photos of cake.

So stick around.

Let’s grow, glow, and get a little messy—together.
